C-TPAT is the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism. C-TPAT certification means that RTL requires little cargo inspections when crossing the border. In those rare instances where inspection is necessary, C-TPAT certification gives RTL priority status. All of this translates into shorter delays at the border and faster delivery of your goods. It also means your shipment is more secure and transported safely to where you need it

As a member of the Partners in Protection (PIP) program, RTL adheres to the highest security standards set by the Canadian Border Safety Agency. As such, we are recognized as “trusted traders” by the border agents, allowing for less hassles and inspections at the border. This means your goods are transported more quickly, safely, and securely across the border, getting your load to its destination on time.

RTL is one of 3,000 North American companies that have signed on to the SmartWay Transport Partnership, and are invested in reducing fuel costs, improving efficiency, and encouraging best practices in our freight supply chains. Responsibility to reduce emissions from supply chains is becoming increasingly important in customer and corporate decision-making.

RTL is certified to deliver hazardous materials of all kinds, including various chemicals (such as flammable, corrosive or oxidizing substances), sensitive materials and dangerous equipment.
